On the way back from Yorktown, we had a wonderful evening. We sat in the stern, under the moonlight, the military band played in front of us, and we talked about the influence of music on people. Mr. Bryan said that his favorite song is "To That Day, It's Very Musical". The last time he heard this song was at President Garfield's funeral and it was also played by this band. He thinks that on such occasions, this piece touched him more than ever. He asked the band to play this piece at the end. Both he and Gladstone love simple music.
