Fusion Parts on Milan
I was hoping to put some parts on my younger brother's car, an '06 Mercury Milan. How reasonable is it to assume that an aftermarket air intake designed for a Fusion will fit on the Milan?

Same motor, and settup, just a different engine cover. Most ikely you will need to do some trimming to fit...

The question is if it is direct bolt-in, no trimming. I know they have to same basic chassis, motor, body, etc. I just want someone to say all the parts would fit perfectly, c'mon dream world!

I have a redfire 08 fusion SE as my DD, I can't imagine doing anything to it. I did think about painting over some of the chrome on the ricey @$$ taillights.

I have seen the painted ones, they look awful, better off matching vinyl, or using some nightshade

I wouldn't do it all ghetto like most people do. I'd actually separate the clear plastic lens from the reflector and actually paint the reflector. I thought about leaving about a 1/2inch border of chrome around the brake and reverse light and leaving the outside lens clear like it already is. Painting the outside of the lens with night shades or sticking vynil to it would look far worse than it does from the factory. If I had any photoshop skills I would be able to explain it better.
