I feel that you do not need an "x" pipe for a V6 . The only reason to run a crossover is to equal out cylinder pressure side to side. Since a V6 has different exhaust dynamics, scavenging is not realized until say over3-4000 rpm. Even though the cylinder dynamics (size and volume) of some of our cars equals the fabled "5-oh" the power pulses occur at different "spacings" around the crank, thus change the frquencies of the exhaust change and make sixers sound like ricers
