Bernie, I agree. I guess if someone wanted to build the ultimate replica it's cost effective, but they also make '69 shells. I wish that were $5000 and not $15000. It would be fund to invest another $25k into making a 5.0 liter blast from the past. Or a '69 Roadrunner. Or 'Cuda...

The ultimate model car but not fronm AMT or Revell plus no model glue to sniff....for you kids out there , we had to actually build our 1/24 scale models....no diecast back when ed , james , bernie and i roamed the hobby shops.

If I were to go to the trouble, I think I would choose the '67 Fastback body to start with..... then put a 900 hp donk in, some bad ass Brembo's, 6 speed Manual, paint it Matte Black with Gloss Black stripes, Matte Black 17in shoes, SS side exhaust and a dose of courage......

Yep, that'll kick ass.....

Actually, I'm salivating so bad after that effort that I'm going to go and...... ahhhhhhhhh...... too late!
