Shooting range

Post by Silverstang on Mon Aug 15, 2011 3:31 pm

Does anyone go to the shooting range??? I picked up a new Mossberg 500 Persuader over the weekend and was planning on going to the range this coming weekend (probably sat. morning) to see how it feels. I will be going to On Target on Annapolis Road in Severn. If anyone would like to join in let me know. Also they have rentals if you don't have a fire arm of your own.

On Target is a nice range. The owner is a walking encyclopedia on guns and history.

When I went there with my buddy, and he brought out the 50cal hand cannon, they said it was $200 if we hit any target return clasps or rails...

I have been looking at the XD and the 1911 by Taurus

Yeah I heard it was a nice range. This will by my first time going. Most of my shooting has been out doors and I usually go to the range up in hunt valley. However that range does not permit a pistol grip on a shot gun.

oh btw the taurus 1911 is a good choice.

Nice Shotgun Sean! And the Taurus is a great gun! I have a Taurus 9mm with beautiful Brasilian hardwood handles.

on target is nice, I bought my first gun from them. A S&W M&P 9mm(my baby, I love this gun). After that first one the addiction started along with 6 other guns in a year....Currently shopping for an AR15, thinking of going with the S&W M&P15 to match my pistol...

I have always meant to make it to on target but never have. I always go to my dads buddies house to unload a few rounds.

I have a sig p250 s&w .40

I have only put 100 rounds through it.

My dad has a 1911, can't think of the brand of hand but that gun is nice. I love the laser grips as well

I just go to my neighbors gun range. If I break out the big guns I go to The Carroll County Landfill gun range. Its cheap to shoot there and they have nice spotting scopes.

Great thread!

I've been wondering if it is worth buying a bang bang stick..... if there are plenty of good spots to go, I just might!

Not sure what kind of shooting you like, but I try to go trap, and skeet shooting a coupe times a year, and love it. I go to PG Trap and Skeet and its $7 to rent an over under, and $10 for a book of 10 games. bring your own ammo or buy a box for $12

heard of the place but have never been. Actually I think you talked about it on this forum. I like all types of shooting but have never developed a taste for hunting though.

Since it seems as though we have a few shooter we could pull something together for later in the year and go shoot some trap.

When you rack that shot gun the intruder will leave his cash on the countertop in your kitchen and a thank you note ROTFL
