Is there a Reset-Computer for late stangs?

Post by VolkerGermany on Fri Jul 15, 2011 5:25 am

I have friends here with newer models. Some of them have Problems like AirBag-Warning, lamps after Batterie-disconnection and that.
Is there a Computer ican buy for less tehn 1000$ to reset these problems?

There are. There called a scan tool. The only problem is that overseas there are no restrictions on what system they use. As in the US since 1996 every car, truck, suv, ECT has to use the same connector in the same location and use the same standard for diagnostic. U would probly need to do some research and see if the overseas fords use the OBD2 connector or not.

I've got the $50 one from Autozone. Got it from a buddy who had an 01 that was sick. We couldn;t get it to run then we got the tool, wnet back and it fired right up... Then I found the old blown out spark plug deal. They were trading it in and had to get it to the lot. So I unplugged the injector and we limped it to the lot and left it there. Shoulda swapped the 17" wheels with the practically new tires for my SVO... And put the 02 V6 16"'s on it....
