I know the feeling, I had open heart 2 years ago at 67. I feel great, thank you Lord. I trust he is much younger and so should have a great recovery prognosis. I will include Chris in my prayer list as the Lord calls him to mind. Keep us informed. Got his six.

Thanks Paul, Chris & Sean! My youngest brother and his wife and kids came down from NJ today we all got together tonight and had a big family dinner was a great time! My brother has surgery tomorrow morning at 6:00 am and should be done around 11 am, he will then still be under anesthesia after for another 5-6 hours so that his body can rest after such trauma, and should awake around 6-7 pm but will probably be very groggy. My parents, brother and myself will be there around 11 am to be there when the doctor comes out of surgery. I will post updates then.

UPDATE: the Dr came out of surgery and said all went well, he is breathing and heart beating on its own, nurses are sewing/cleaning him up and we will be able to see him in a while, but he will still be under anesthesia.

Glad everything has gone well so far!

My parents went to see Chris tonight and he was awake with his eyes closed, guess still coming out of the anesthesia but was talking and in good spirits, will take a walk tomorrow and be able to eat regular (if you can call hospital food regular) food and will be out of the ICU and into hopefully a private room.
