New Motor and fresh air for a friends 66

Post by VolkerGermany on Sun Jun 26, 2011 4:03 pm

Last weekend we install a new Motor (rebuild 289 made by AHM Rosedale, Balanced, bigger valves with leadfree seats)

In my garage we found a nice old butterflyscoop. Because it was a little to high we made a very good fitting opening in the Hood

Looks nice, right?

Sweet looking ride. I agree with wires. Love the scoop though.

Best is the side view.

First we tried to get it more to the front but then we needet to cut the hood frame. We made a new center to bolt it on from Aluminum (more stable than the cheap chinese thin metal plate) to adjust the Scoop in the frame.free section of the hood. The HEih was lucky exact that we hafe now so the tube wherethe butterflys bolted on is near exact the heigh of the hood

And after all that 5 hours to build an adjustment for the linkage so the butterflys open wide but cant block (Uwe loves to run full speed and loves the Show at the traffic light)

NExt step will be small lights under the hood so you can see the red polished butterflys better

Smile
