Erratic voltage reading....

I have a 1995 GT with the 302 5.0. My voltage gauge us showing erratic readings. The needle will start off reading ok but as i drive the needle will go way down then go back up. I replaced the alternator and serpentine belt. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I hate electrical issues...uuuggggghhh

The 5.0 is known for its charging issues. I would get a temp volt gage in wired directly to the batt and see if they read the same. Id blame it on the older wiring. Could be bad grounds also.
