Re: 6th Annual OC Mustang Show 2011
Dont see a problem with the 15.00, there were so many cars there last year that they spilled over into the other business lots and complaints were made. I think this is a good idea. This event grows more and more every year at Ocean City and think that maybe a biger location will be in the near future. Maybe even having the main events opened up to the newer vehicles and not just the hot rods.

So wait, we have to pay to be in the lot AND you are asking for donations for the trophies? Hmmm.... Sounds suspect.
If we pay up front, do we have a reserved space at least?

Here`s the break down....Please understand. We make money at our events to donate to charities at the end of the year. We dont get very many donations during our OC show. In the past we got just enough to cover our expenses. Barely... Last year if the trophies were`nt donated we would have lost money. What most people dont see is on average the OC show cost us about $300 to put on. Were just not making it back, therefore the money that we could be helping charities with is now buying your trophy. Would`nt it be better for us to be able to give better awards and help the community at the same time? If your a member you can vote who you would like to support. Asking $10-$15 isnt much for a show. Esp. considering were only charging for the front lot. If you dont wanna pay you have the option of parking on the side street. Those cars can register for free.
This year since were charging we decided to raise the budget. Please understand that were not trying to be greedy were just trying not to be at a loss and still please everyone with a awesome show! Thats not an easy task but we will try our very best.

Re: 6th Annual OC Mustang Show 2011
Bob, Bethel's idea about paying up front for a reserved spot is a good one. Hell, I'll pay EXTRA for Laura and I to get a premium spot. How's that for donating man!?!??

Re: 6th Annual OC Mustang Show 2011
I agree with Bob on this.. When is the meeting on this one Bob, I would like to attend. I think by selling pre reserved spots is not a bad idea. however we would have to have someone there at the lot early and a way to only allow them on without holding traffic up. I got there last year at 630am and I was beat by one other. However you had other clubs right behind me rolling deep for the front lot. We would need to know how many spots were allowed so we could start the pre registration. Also not sure but does MCOM have it set up for paypal on there website to pre register. Bayside does this and is a real nice feature. Just a suggestion. I want to get more into the back scenes of this if work will allow.

We do have a PayPal account that we use for membership. We currently dont have anything set up for pre registration. Thats going to be up to Corey (Who is in charge of the show) and the members to decide. We will discuss it more at our next meeting which is (The March 2011 meeting will be at Bellissimo Seafood and Grill in Bel Air on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7:00 in the evening. It's right off Rt 24, (510 Marketplace Drive Bel Air, MD 21014 410-836-8702) between Target and Pep Boys. It used to be The Crack Pot".) If you would like to attend your welcome to. BJ, You are a paid member and entitled to a vote! We would need to figure out how to hold those spots.
John, I like your idea! Lets get some details worked out and see how we can do this.
