Fun times for sure, Bethel! Thanks for the invite, Chris for the 10 ft "tv" and Pete for the yummy eats
What a crazy race that was as the "Big One" happened way too soon and damaged quite a few of my drivers! I'm just glad a Ford won, although it was definitely won by one of the several "survivors", Trevor Bayne ran great all week long! He posted 3rd in the Saturday qualifying session and did so well in the practices, that Jeff Gordon planned on drafting with him during the second Gatorade Dual and they did awesome as a team. Bayne ran well during the 500 and kept himself near the front at the end.
WAY TO GO Trevor Bayne for not only giving Ford its 600th NASCAR win, but also becoming the 7th driver to win his first race at the Daytona 500 (this only being his second Cup Series start-which ties him with Jamie McMurray for quickest to win at the beginning of a career), the second driver to win the Daytona 500 in his first attempt (the only other time that has happened was Lee Petty back in '59 for the inaugural Daytona 500) and becoming the youngest winner at only 20 years and 1 day (Jeff Gordon was the holder of that record at 25 years, 6 months and 12 days in '97)!!!!!
My drivers finished:
Carl Edwards-2nd
Mark Martin (favorite)-10th
A.J. Allmendinger-11th
Matt Kenseth (2nd favorite)-34th
Greg Biffle (3rd favorite)-35th
Jeff Burton-36th
Kevin Harvick-42nd

Sorry I couldn't make it.
And as for the race, I was pulling for my guy Ragan, but I saw it when he did it, Black flag, Damn, BUT, good for Bain, that was a great race and I'm glad he won, it was kind of cool to see not only that it was a Ford, but it was also plastered with Motorcraft all over it.

Re: Rednecks turn left!
It was nice to see the Wood Brothers get back into victory lane at the Daytona 500! Their last win there was back in 1976 with David Pearson. The last time I can recall the #21 being in victory lane prior to yesterday was back when I was at Bristol in the Spring of '01...
