Re: Where can I find these for cheap?!
they are my favorite axle-backs for the 05-09 v6's! i feel like it's so much easier to do exhaust on the 3.8's. idk why, it must be the mid-muffler thing, because most of the 4.0's sound so ricey!
by the way! you need a picture, pete!

well if you want my opinion.... if you want good sound out of your car save for new headers. and throw those cats away.

Yeah, true, but not if you want/need to pass emissions... damn laws! They take all the fun out of it!

obd 2 you can pass with no cats, as long as your ecu "thinks" it has cats.. from what i have been told. ... mil eliminators or splice em yourself

Re: Where can I find these for cheap?!
not exactly true, obd 2 in md does a gas cap test, a scan for codes in the memory = mil must be off also but if it were on it'd register codes so the two go hand in hand, but furthermore they also view what are known as the " readiness monitors" such as evap, egr, o2, catalyst, ect ect.... in MD all the monitors must be run and register pass iirc you are allowed 1 iirc to not have run, sometimes with the newer cars, through tunes people have shut the monitor off, and an obd 2 test at the station will catch that. as long as a mil eliminator allows the test to run and register pass then it'll workRTW0223 wrote:obd 2 you can pass with no cats, as long as your ecu "thinks" it has cats.. from what i have been told. ... mil eliminators or splice em yourself

Re: Where can I find these for cheap?!
I just found a site offering Pypes Cat-back systems for $299
I'm not sure of shipping costs, but they ship from Indiana... I'm seriously thinking about it.....

I've got the catback, just looking for mufflers.
And post up a topic for what you're looking for... odds have it that someone has GT exhaust laying around here somewhere, and usually give REALLY good deals for club members. I got my midpipes AND mufflers for cheap from people in this club. i love you guys! haha

I still have the stock GT mufflers with less than 500 miles and have stock H pipe sitting in the shed.
