S197 Alternator FYI

If your battery seems to be going dead on ya, with the '05 to '09 Stangs. Get your alternator checked. Mine is bad, 22,285 miles and it's done.

Also in case you're wondering, not covered under power-train warranty, and it's 479.80 installed pre tax...........and I called Ford and chewed on some rep there for a while but that was like so yeah I'm pissed, but it'll be fixed here shortly......Just wanted to let you peeps know in case you guys have a similar issue.

Sorry to hear of your grief with your battery and alternator. Mine must be one of the good ones as I didn't have to replace my original battery until nearly 80,000 miles.
