Kayaking??'s

Thinking of picking up a Kayak and was wondering if anyone has recommendations...

I might start off with renting a few times to see if the kid enjoys it enough to get one. Considering an Ocean Kayak sit ontop tandem or getting 2 singles. Thats part of the rental idea, to see if its best to get a tandem for me and the 11 yr old to minimize his activity or if he can hang on day trips solo.

Anyone have or have rented Ocean Kayak's b4? Look a bit wider so I expect their more stable. They have some angler models that you can fish off of, think that may be something we try as well.
