Offshore Powerboat Racing?

Dont know if any of you are into boats or boat racing, but this is going to be pretty badass!!

It's official, the Jersey Boyz are back, but this time the OPA National Championship Race will be determined in the waters off Solomons Island. GEICO has teamed with Bayside Toyota/Chevrolet, the Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association and our sponsors to secure a knock-down, drag-out race course in front of the main sea wall on Solomons Island. Spectators and fans will find plenty of parking and up-close viewing of some of the worlds fastest boats on the water today, racing for the Championship, including the World Famous Miss GEICO.

I have been to a couple. It even more fun when you have a munch of boats all tied up together to watch....

Looks like fun! When I was flying for Hopkins our helo base was Pier 7 on the Inner Harbor and I used to drool over the $800K boats with supercharged engines....wicked fast.
