I could do without the emblems, but the car looks nice otherwise.

Which emblems? The "Powered by Ford" ones?

i agree with Brian. I think he is referring to the cobra emblems. Seems a little silly to me when nothing about the car is "cobra". To each their own though. Exterior looks great

For that very reason I didn't "badge" it as a cobra. I just like the emblems, on the inside. I wouldn't put them on the outside since I don't agree with that.
This is a highly debated topic too..... It's like saying you can't put Shelby wheels on your car if it's not a Shelby, but LOTS of people do that. Or that a guy with a V6 can't put a GT spoiler on his car, or a guy with a GT can't put a GT500 spoiler or steering wheel in.
It's obvious that the Cobra or GT500 (depending on year) is the best model out there. Mustang owners FOR YEARS have "upgraded" parts to those of the better models.
I think as long as you don't badge the outside as something it's not, you're fine.
Thanks for the compliment!

Yes, the Cobra emblems on the dash, calipers, etc.
I dont think there is anything wrong with using the wheels, etc from the other models...but putting the emblems on just doesnt seem right, IMO.

Re: Recent Pics of My Ride
Well Like Dave said he specifically for that reason didn't put them on the outside. Whats wrong with putting cobra brake calipers, if they're superior to the stocks? The floor mats look cool, and If he wanted to put the cobra emblem on the dash, its his car and he is not trying to make it something its not.

Nothing is wrong with swapping to Cobra or Shelby or better brakes....but they are stockers with a Cobra emblem on a cover. To me, and this is strictly IMO, putting Cobra floor mats, Cobra emblems here and there, makes it look as if it were being passed of as a Cobra. Not accusing Dave of doing that, and he has said that wasnt his intention. I know it's his car, but unfortunately when you post pics, people will give their opinion, be it positive or negative. I said the car looked nice, aside from the emblems, and that was IMO.
Using the physical parts from another car are one thing, as they typically are used because they are better than the parts they are replacing; you cant really justify the emblems in the same way.
He can do what he wishes with his car, as can anyone, it was merely my opinion. You dont have to like it or agree with it. In my opinion, the big Cobra on the dash looks out of place in an otherwise clean interior.
