MGW shifter

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the '97 GT come with a T-45 tranny in it? If so, I'd like to put a MGW ss in Lisa's car and was wondering if anyone had 1 laying around that they wanted to get rid of. If anyone knows of a better performing shifter for this tranny, please feel free to speak up.

unsure on the 97 but I had an mgw in my 07 GT and i also have one in my cobra. I'll never switch to another brand. These things are rock solid and the engineering is incredible.
