Its about that time!!

Well its about that time of year for my car to break and it sure didnt let me down this year just like last year with transmission/overheating and previous and previous years. its always right around my birthday week and near ocean city and NMRA in New Jersey. Minding my own business today taking my car from my parents house to my sisters house 5 min drive. fuel pump decided to not work anymore right in aspen hill and connecticut ave intersection. i have a UPR (walbro) 255lph fuel pump and a MSD fuel pump boost controller. i managed to get it running again and drove it a few blocks to my sisters house. it shut off eleventy billion times and the battery was getting weak too. i managed to get on her street and of course it shut off again and coasted right into her driveway and into the backyard. I was late for work and missed eating any lunch before starting work. So I'll be going to the JPC show instead this weekend and buying a new pump from them and spending my birthday weekend dropping the fuel tank and replacing my pump. wish it happened at work where my tools are. Best time of year

thanks well shit happens just gotta fix it lol. im hoping its the fuel pump i never seen one fail like this. car can start but the pump will quit either immediately or a few seconds or minutes after. air fuel ratio is going nuts too

That sucks, but hopefully you've got it pin pointed correctly and is relatively easy to fix, dispite an annoying inconvience! Hope you get her working again and enjoy your B Day!!!!!

thanks john my insticts are telling me its not the fuel pump because ive had a similar issue with my friend 87 GT with similar mods a few years ago and it was the chip in his ecu. so im gonna spend what free time i have this week to trace wires and check connections

Damn dude, it seems like everytime my car is runnin, yours isn't, and vice versa. SO in my own selfish attitude I'm gunna say, don't fix it. LOL I want mine on the road!
