Stock replacement parts

Post by alkemist on Sun Apr 11, 2010 2:49 pm

Anyone know where I can order online a stock replacement part for the splash guard (underside) and cabin air filter for reasonable prices? The people on the cruise yesterday know which piece I'm talking apart. Apparently it broke off and after the long haul yesterday, especially on the way back, I hit some hard dips and parts broke off, so it's completely non salvageable. I'm thinking buying the part and installing it maybe cheaper than taking it in. As for the air filter, I can do that myself, I couldn't find any generic ones at the auto stores around here..

After looking at the "splash guard" yesterday, I don't see any reason why a cut to size piece of thick black plastic wouldn't do the trick... Maybe a junk yard might have them...

a chunk of it actually broke off, specifically the corner that matched up with the front lol. It's completely trashed now.

sooooo, the reason why the splash guard broke off is because the body shop didn't bother to install this piece that came with my Roush front!!!!

Now I have to buy that and the splash guard.

If you want cost for something from the dealership you can call

John at 704-938-3121 ext 35, he will send it out that day. I usually get stuff from him 1-2 days after calling him.

if you want stock used parts, usually brand new parts

Yes, but it's two pieces on her's. I was under mine last night (to remove the passenger side header wrap and invesitgating a possible inner tie rod/steering rack problem) and it is just one piece and fastens directly to the chin spoiler. It is different than the Roush fascia...why, I'm not sure

The roush fascia has an extension with it that attaches to the stock piece

Ya lol. There is a roush extension piece to the stock which supposedly came with the front fascias kit.. I gotta double check but I don't think the Roush part was installed.
