SCT is LOCKED!!! Updated!!

So I get the SCT from e-bay that the guy said has 5 unlocks left on it ........When I put it on the car it stated that it was VIN locked. I contacted SCT and they said I have to send it in to get it unlocked and it will cost me $150 dollars

So I contacted the seller and he stated that in the bottom of the page where it says Questions and Answers that issue was addressed. I told him it that was the case he should have edited the ad to reflect locked!!!

So, he refunded me $100.00 bucks to help pay to unlock it . I gueess it's better than nothing.
SCT received it Yesterday so I am hoping to get back by next week.

I really want to install that Prochamber before Sundays Cruise. Maybe I will try to do it tonight.

Dude, just throw the prochamber on and take care of the engine light when you get the SCT back. It won't hurt the car or performance.

Wow, that sucks. At least the guy ponied up and helped pay to unlock it.

If you need or want the code removed, I can bring my sct x3. From my understanding, it can still read and remove codes if it's locked (to my car).

I could try and install it in the morning before the cruise ....not solo though I suck at this still need practice...

Got my SCT tuner back from SCT today!!!

Is there anywhere locally to get these unlocked instead of having to get it shipped? If so whats the price? Thanks!!

No such thing. Has to be shipped to SCT, where they hook it up to their computer hit one button and becomes unlocked.

The tuners racer package only allows for updates to the tune, not the system running the handheld.
