Revolutions per Mile

Post by alkemist on Tue Mar 16, 2010 10:12 pm

After switching from stock pirelli 17" tires, do I need to change the revs with my tuner? The difference is minimal, maybe 2-4. I was told it wasn't necessary since the change is minimal, but then someone else is saying it needs to for ABS. Anyone know for sure?

OK, I think you need a new radio. You're constantly asking about having to change your tuner.

If you went from the OEM 235/55-17 to the 285/40-18, then no, you don't have to change it in your tuner due to the minor difference. OEM=27.2"@742 Revs/mile
New=27.0"@748 Revs/mile

My SCT XCAL-2 can only change in increments of 5 revs/mile, so I wouldn't worry about that.
