Auto Stick swap

Post by Big Blue on Mon Mar 15, 2010 3:51 pm

OK, who's tiered of all that shifting, wouldn't you love to just sit back and drive, I can make that dream a reality for you, I got everything you need to turn that damn old stick shift into a smooth riding automatic, and being the nice guy I am, I'll take that old thing off you hands, and I'll put up with it.
So who want to swap tranys with me.

i think theres only one person on the forums with a manny 4.0. If you really want to you could look into doing the Shelby tranny swap. Gotta rember edd when you do the tranny swap u also have to swap ur ECU,s. And that means you have to use another tuner possibly. Its complicated doing tranny swaps. Specially with newer cars

Many S197 GT owners have made auto to manual swaps and info can be had all over the net. I haven't heard of any V6 trans swaps however, but I'm sure they're out there as well. GL, Ed!

Well I found one a wile ago, but I was to late, he already did it, but he was looking for a shifter, its not that hard, the hole for the clutch is already there and if you can find someone who wants to swap you have every thing you need, you need the ECU, of course the Tranny and all its other hardware, and the wiring harness, as for the tune, I have the Sniper and all I have to do is return it to stock before doing the swap
