PRO CHAMBER Question?

Post by Dominican7 on Fri Mar 05, 2010 9:47 am

So when I put the Pro chamber on will I need to purchase Plug-in Mustang MIL Eliminators to take care of the CEL?

I don't have a tuner so what are my other options?

Yes...or deal with having the CEL on. I think some people have issues with the MIL Eliminators...like they don't always work or something. Do some searching on MustangForums.

Get a tuner Smile

You can also make your own with some radioshack stuff. I'll try to find the link

I have the SCT XCAL2 which works great and is compatible with most performance shops. I bought mine used...if you go that route, make sure the owner unlocked it (returned their car back to stock tune) before you buy it.

There is a locked on for sale on craigslist for 75, its 150 to have SCT unlock it.

225 isnt bad for a sct tuner

+1

The X3 is like $380 and this would be $75 + $150 + $(cost of tune) which should be much less than a new one that comes with a tune.

Plus you can use the packaged tunes from SCT... they are not bad at all.

I've got the predator, love it. It's also what JPC uses to tune cars FYI.

Handhelds all do about the same thing. Find a tuner you like and go with what he uses.

I purchased a diablo tuner first because I wanted Justin at JPC to tune my car. Then after I put the car together, he said he wasnt familiar with tuning turbo cars. Note this was way back in 06... Now he has tuned a couple turbo cars.

I then switched to SCT because my tuner used SCT. they both are capable of tuning your car...

There is only one difference between the two. There is a Torque Table that SCT has the ability of changing, wher the Diablo does not... there are a lot of bickering back and forth on forums about this... basically back to back in the hands of a qualified tuner... they will result in the same power numbers...

Is predetor a knock off version of the Predator? I wouldn't settle for a knock off...
