Putting some LEDs in the trunk for more light...... HELP!

Okay, so let's put this forum to the test.... I need some help with some electrical work.

I have some LEDs (with a positive and negative wire) that I want to put in the trunk of my car.... how and where would I need to wire then into if I want them to only come on when the trunk is open??

Or could I run them off a switch?? If so, how do I do this?? I have no idea at all, but more than willing to give it a go!!

You can tee off of the light in the trunk now if you want it to come on when the trunk is open. You can also hook it to a switch but would be alot more work for just one led. If you post your email or pm me I should be able to find the specs for the wires in the trunk.

I am also a complete muppet when it comes to these sort of things! I am very capable of doing the work, but just need some really good instruction!!
