Sooooo, who wants to help me pull off my eaton?

Post by SVT_N8 on Mon Feb 15, 2010 9:39 am

I'm really really really considering pulling off my Eaton supercharger and sending it out to Posi for a race port. Average race port puts down about 525-545 rwhp. Anyway, i am looking for a few good wrenchers who know what they are doing to help me out. I know Mark just did this so maybe he can post some feedback on the job. Basically i'll be pulling the blower, sending it out, and about 1-2 weeks later reinstalling it.

I have no experience for this, but you know I'll turn a wrench

So how much driving experience do you have at her current form of about 400 RWHP to make the jump up to 525-545 RWHP

haha, i may end up opting for a less agressive port so i dont need a bap or a mafia. then i should be right at 500rwhp roughly. then i'll be betting some 10.5in wide rear wheels and some nitto drs :D

You can port it and just keep a larger pulley on it, then drop to a 2.8 or 2.76 once you get the BAP and Mafia...

I would hop on SVTP and ask Posi, but I bet if you stuck with a 2.93 and stock lower you could get away with no MAF/BAP. My car's right around that 500hp mark and doesn't have a Mafia/BAP yet. I'm running a 2.76 upper, stock lower, bassani exhaust (stock manifolds), with the K&N intake kit and last dyno was 497/520. My blower isn't ported yet though Smile

That was a pretty generous dyno though. I usually sit around the 480/500 mark. Gotta love cold air Smile

hmmm, thats some of the highest numbers i've seen without a port job.

This was Brians (Posi) response.....

"If you run just an upper you'll need mass air help and fuel pump help also. If you run like a 2.93/4lb combo you'd probably get by with the same. But if you run something more aggressive than that you could easily need injectors also.

Anything else just pm me back.

Later,
Brian "

Well I guess that's your answer! Yeah, I was very suspicious of the numbers on my car when I bought it too, have only had it a little while. Previous owner provided me with like 2 years worth of dyno sheets. I took it and had it ran immediately to double check and it all seemed to be right. Maybe I've got a factory freak... Here's a link to the for sale add on modularfords that I picked the car up from...

awesome, very nice car. I've only had mine since October and have only put about 100 total miles on it. Current odometer reading is 9070.4 miles Smile

Very nice! Mines my daily, so it'll be logging some miles here soon. I'm deployed half the year usually so it won't be too bad. Took a picture cause it turned 27,000 even the other day... Oh well, time to mod!

You have to ask your self if you want to get the most out of your dyno session after this is done. And if you call hermann whom you seem set on having dyno your car ( great choice). He will suggest a bap and mafia before your dyno day.
