CCFL vs. LED
So I'm looking into getting some halo-type fog lamps and headlights, and I have come across both CCFL and LED versions. I've read that CCFL is the old technology, and that LED is better, and vice versa. I want something that's bright enough, but not obnoxious.

my personal opinion is neither
, but if you are set on them the leds would be the way to go. LEDS = brighter, less problems, last longer
CCFLs = dated, not as bright, known for problems with ballasts and bulbs cracking, cold start issue

Has anyone seen them on a Stang? They look like they might be cool, but I haven't seen them lit up. Are they gay, Nate?

Re: CCFL vs. LED
I have them on my car and love them.................both my headlights and fogs are the halo's. It all depends on what you like and don't like. I get mixed opinions but it's my car so eh, whatever.

Are they bright? Can you see them in the day? Do you have the fogs too?

Re: CCFL vs. LED
During the day they are pointless. At night the are bright enough to see, but these halo lights are specifically for show. They are not bright enough alone for driving at night. My fog lights are the halos as well.Bethelism wrote:07caligtstang wrote:I have them on my car and love them.................both my headlights and fogs are the halo's. I have both ccfl halos in my fog and headlight. They are bright. I love them. I heard that the leds arent as bright so thats why I didnt go with them. They have a sinister look to them.
You can see them in the day time. Ill have to get some pics up.
