Howdy from Allegany!

New member from Allegany County signing in, just wanted to say hi. I wanted to join a club within the state, and I heard you guys do a good bit of stuff. Looking forward to some drag strip meets!

Welcome aboard! The Northern Virginia Mustang Club has private track rentals (8am-Noon) at Mason Dixon Dragway 4 times a year. Our first one is April 17th. We do quite a bit of stuff! It doesn't matter if it is a club as a whole and get 30+ people involved or something more low key with about a dozen or less, but we're quite active, esp in the nicer months of the year.

I just bought an 06 GT the other week, 5 speed coupe. Really eager to take her to the track and see what I can do. She still virgin..all stock and now about 16,000 miles. Never driven on the track though

Nice Stang! Mine is also an '06, however it is closing in on 96K miles (I bought it new with 8 miles)! Just head on over to www.northernvirginiamustangclub.com and register. Like here, it doesn't cost a thing Then you may attend the NVMC Drag Day no questions asked. It is $50 (+ Pay Pal fee) to prepay or it is $60 at the gate. We get the track for a four hour test and tune period with just us Stangers (and a few other non Mustang invites)! It's a very friendly atmosphere and is a lot of fun! There are a bunch here that are also NVMC members and attend the Drag Days as well!
Here are the Drag Days scheduled this year: April 17, June 26, Aug 21 and Oct 16

looks great! Finally another screaming yellow. Where exactly are you? i spent the first 20yrs of my life in allegany county and spent many days at the Wisp snowboarding. i am up that way about once a month.

PM sent, but for anyone else that might be local, I live in LaVale which is neighboring Cumberland. I'm often in Garrett county though, around the Deep Creek Lake area..
