My son's car (2004 Mustang) was totalled by a drunk driver insured by Geico. It took well over a month to negotiate a fair settlement--I couldn't believe the amount of energy it took to get them where I wanted them as I had them cold. My attorney said he could have got a bit more, but then I'd be paying him.

Bottom line, hang in there and get tough.

I noticed the bumper is moved over to the left and I am wondering if the rear end may have shifted also....
I am taking it to Crouse Ford Body Shop on Monday - so I will let them find out for me.

Me: whiplash; lower back feels turned out of whack; lower back muscles extra tense = needs a massage therapist type female; < left hand was on steering wheel right arm on shifter > left hand bone hurts = xrays; left arm & elbow hurt = xrays ......... yeah this is going to be a " Good time ! "
And ..... Tylenol is not cutting it !

Car is still driveable and doesn't look totaled our bumpers almost matched -
..... but from now on CARFAX will say "Wrecked Vehicle" on my Shelby GT !!!!

That's horrible, I am so sorry to hear that! I sure hope all works out well for you. take your car to a dealership and get a quote so you can send copies of it to her insurance.

State Troopers came and did a report, I called her Insurance GEICO, and the car behind her's insurance, both admitted fault, now it is a matter of getting car ( and me ) fixed correctly.
Then there is a guy who specializes in Devaluation of cars type of Lawyering and I am gonna have him do that part.

I have a signed - serial numbered Shelby and they only made 1200 of them in 2007 / about half were white like mine / about half of those were automatic / about half of those had blue stripes / and very few had the navigation system installed out of that few cars..... so What collector 15 years from now would want to buy a car when CARFAX says "Wrecked" on it ???

I guess I will just have to keep it and drive it like I stole it !

YAhoooooo

I got my car back and they did a great job!!

I got the rear axle painted while it was in there, and had them touch-up a couple nicks in the paint.
They also fixed my alignment problem, so it steers straight again.

Smoked the tires on the way out of the dealership.....

Did I mention that I Really Like my Mustang !
