My Car Got rear-ended

So it is less than a month old to me - I didn't even have the tags on it yet, and a lady in a minivan with 2 kids in middle seat ( Good News = All safe - in car seats ) runs into me after I stop hard to avoid a 3 car accident in front of me < truck in front of me stopped in time not to be a casualty, and I stopped in time barely > she did not stop - and the person behind her did not stop in time either. Speed limit was 55 - and we were incresing to get there, so maybe 45 mph and I had completely stopped before she hit me.

Good news is She has GEICO Insurance ( I think so far that is good news ...they are saying there is a discrepancy between the statements !! )
Car has damaged rear bumper, whatever is inside the bumper, possible out of whack alignment on shock absorber type thing inside bumper and when they get it off they will check frame alignment on the back end..... Oh!.... the stripe is messed up on the rear bumper < a Shelby part > ..... not available from Ford.

Me: whiplash; lower back feels turned out of whack; lower back muscles extra tense = needs a massage therapist type female; < left hand was on steering wheel right arm on shifter > left hand bone hurts = xrays; left arm & elbow hurt = xrays ......... yeah this is going to be a " Good time ! "
And ..... Tylenol is not cutting it !

Good news
Car is still driveable and doesn't look totaled our bumpers almost matched -
..... but from now on CARFAX will say "Wrecked Vehicle" on my Shelby GT !!!!

WOW THATS EXACTLY WAT I WAS ABOUT TO POST!!! MY CAR WAS REAR ENDED LAST NIGHT AND THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER CAR SPED OFF!!! we found the car that hit me but whoever were driving had abandoned the car. i can say tho, if u look at his car compared to my car and the amount of impact i felt the car lives up to the commercial "BUILT FORD TOUGH"

I was impressed with the small amount of damage to my Stang, both our bumpers matched so that helped.

I went to Crouse Ford in Taneytown - got an estimate; then GEICO did an estimate - both within $19.00 of each other....GEICO will send check for car repairs.
De-valuation of car - seperate issue - I figure it will show on a CARFAX as a wrecked car....and That SUCKS ! when not my fault... Crouse told me about a guy who does cases for De-valuation of cars, so there is still hope on that issue.
Me - Whiplash bites; GEICO wants all kinds of stuff...
GEICO offered to settle for all med bills, x rays, medication, physical therapy, chiropractors bills, etc for.............. Don't Hold Your Breathe............. $847.oo
I wasn't born yesterday, so I said NO.
Maybe I will upgrade some things when / If I get the final settlement.
