Is this a very serious problem. If so I can just go with ceramic shortys and save a ton of money on long tube. How much horse power will i lose when going over to the supercharger or if not noticable not worried. Let me know. Also with shorty headers do you need to lift the motor. THanks just about to order them to $1300

As long as you can avoid tall speed bumps, you should be fine with LTs and being lowered! I've run that combo since late March and when I do bottom out, it's not that bad That's a lot of driving for me as I've put about 30K miles on it just this year alone and didn't even have it from New Years until first week of March!!!!!
A better option that just purchasing motor mounts would be a lightweight replacement K member! Sure it will set you back several hundred $$$, but the easiest way to install LTs is by removing the K member...if it's off already...why not place a lighter one that offers plenty more room and much sturdier motor mounts back in its place???

I personally would go with the shorty headers. The miniscule difference in performance with the long tubes isn't worth the inconveinence of scraping your bottom end every day. Bottoming out takes away from your confidence in diving the car. Your always hesitant to get on the gas in unknown areas.

Shortys
Pro: umm, you get to say you have aftermarket headers.
Con: How much money for how much hp. Are you kidding?

Long Tube:
Pro: Power. Sound. Sex.
Con: Ground clearance

Also, the install is the same and I've heard two different shops say LT's are easier

someone was saying u have to remove the k-member to install lts. Took about 30 mins to install my shorty headers and with the lts you have to mod the exhoust to fit them especially if there registered with MD you have to have the cats unless you get the repeaters. Much more involved it lts than shortys. You can get a set of good shortys headers than give you very decent amount of power. I'm gonna be wrapping my shortys hear soon. So I may pick up a few extra ponies. Its all preferance also.
