Possible Porting Intake.
Well i got a free intake for my 4.0 From Cameron Nelson(aka nuclearmuscle523) Who Xcharged his sixer. Just wondering about possibilitys of doing this. Any suggestions would be great. Even if i do it and nothing happens oh well it was free:)

Do you have a flow bench?
Most people who go in and start porting have NO idea what they are doing, and find themselves hurting power due to killing velocity.
Larger is not always better in porting. Velocity is what makes power in NA engines. FI not as much due to air being forced in.
Many have found this with cold air intakes. 4"+ tubes can hurt velocity, hey if they put a bell mouth on a 2.5" intake pipe and you will gain power due to air velocity.

Ok gotcha on that. But what about making the runners smoother for less turbulance to promote better velocity?

You can extrude hone your intake. But I think you find the price isn't worth the gains.

I have no idea what that is. Pretty much i just want to get some simple tools and try something with this intake. If it works awsome sweet if it dosnt oh well it was free.
