GPS

Post by ThunderSteed on Wed Sep 23, 2009 10:07 am

My 07 GT has a touchscreen audio system with cd nav. The cd has never played rite, the stealership wants $200 for a new one. Can I goto Best Buy or another store and get a new disc that will work on my player?

I think its one of those all or nothing kind of deals at best buy and places like that. They can only replace the whole unit not just the cd player.

The stores charge just as much for a Navteq GPS DVD as the dealerships do. I checked it out and your best bet is to get one off ebay. There, they range from $30-60. You had a 4th edition DVD. If I had built in nav, I'd get it off ebay and get the newest edition possible which is like edition 8 or 9.
If anyone else has a better option then feel free to correct me

I'm confused...

The OP, I thought, just meant that the CD(Compact Disc) was scrached or unplayable. The CD that updates maps, and points of intrest.

If so than Mike is on the ball, with his comment about Ebay.

If it's the CD Player, with built in NAV, 200 isnt that bad of a price to get it fixed. However I would get an aftermarket Pioneer or Kenwood all in one unit. Upgrade while spending the money ye know Smile

So clarify for us Smile
