any ideas?????

well im having a problem with my stock gauge cluster when i have my headlights on for longer than 15 min the gauges go out and i dont know why?

Do all the gauges go out or just a single one?

all of them go out and if i turn off the car wait a minute they will work again

Have you wired anything in recently that may cause this. It sounds like something is getting hot and tripping a breaker.

nothing new in wiring every thing is still stock electrical

Crown Vics are notorious for that problem..except headlights go out..prolly the same thing..headlight switch

well my headlights are still on but the gauges are off

Could be the dimmer switch. It's separate from the headlight switch

yeah it's separated but is there a way i can check before i start replacing parts

You can check it by using a digital volt/ohm meter.Make sure you have good 12 volts going into the switch.If so, turn the switch on/ off and check voltage at the other side.It should increase and decrease as you move the
switch. Also check connections going into back of switch..could even be a broken or loose connection/.

i wil check it out but the dealer installed a switch that lets me alternate between my stock foglights and the lower roush ones could that be the problem

Is this problem since the dealer did the work? If so, I would def be looking at that.

HELL YEAH..ESPECIALLY IF THEY WERE INSTALLED AT THE DEALERSHIP..ITS ON THEM..MAY HAVE NOT CONNECTED THEM CORRECTLY

see i cant stand taking my car to apple ford cause they allways keep my car for atleast 2 days i thought it could be some thing at i could resolve
