2011 5.0 in the mustang ?

so the rumors are true. i dont understand why they would make the shelby go from 5.4L to 5.0 i mean isnt the shelby a SOHC 4v already

Its a 5.4 DOHC 4V. which is why im wondering if its gonna be a 4V SOHC or go to a DOHC setup. Anyway im excited to see the mustang get a little more muscle. If Mopar and GM can stick around this could be the second coming of the muscle car wars.

The coyote design is supposed to be a 5.0L dohc 4v making 400+hp. That report is saying it will be sohc. One report says Ford will be downgrading the Shelby's 5.4L; however, another report says nothing about the Shelby but the Australian version is replacing the 5.4L in the Falcon over there. The Auzzie version makes 402hp/ 398ft-lbs. We'll see what is allowed in the US with Obama's new regs

5.0 in the new mustang all i can say is about time they step up the gt cause i was getting worried that we where gonna get left behide by the rest thank you ford for getting us back in the game

The shelby being niche car will probably stay the same since it is already pushing the limit. And its about time ford did N/A mod motor that made some decent power. now imagine throwing boost at that motor OHHH aAHHH.
