No, you don't HAVE to with ours either, but I would never trust doing it without compressors! I don't need to be left laying in a driveway with mangled body parts if I don't have to

Ok, Now I am confused....

The compressors keep the spring compressed upon removal from the suspension. Bronson is referring to using a jack to raise the car, place a jack stand under the car, removing the jack, then jacking up the control arm which compresses the spring, undo all the nuts/bolts, then slowly letting the jack down until the control arm drops far enough for the spring to drop out. Those springs are under a heck of a lot of tension and if one tiny thing goes wrong...who knows where the spring will go...very quickly!

So I guess as long as Bronson is between me and the spring, I wont need the compressor

I have no fear doing it without the compressors on my body style. They seem more of a hassle

John is right tho. That's how I do it. Haven't had one fly out yet!!! Knock on wood! It doesn't really seem like it would when I do it that way but I do know it is under tons of pressure.
