What an "trip" that was down to Richmond :lau hard:I just followed Nate's lead, which wasn't hard at all to do and join in on the "goofing off"! I didn't know for the first few seconds that he was recording his "singing" until I looked over and saw him holding the camera up to the window pointing back at us. When the guitar solo started, I knew I could contribute to the video
Definitely fun times! Later, when Nate showed me the video clip on the camera, I was
Granted, not the safest for driving, but I was mostly paying attention and traffic wasn't that bad there
Speaking of accidents, there was a nice one on the left shoulder just before the Ashland exit on our side that had several cars involved and the white SUV definitely got the brunt of it!
The rain wasn't heavy enough to have us searching for cover (there were several hundred people that were huddled under awnings and such...wusses!) for very long, but we did take the opportunity to look at several of the souvenir haulers and stand under the awnings for a few minutes. The rain only lasted about 15-20 minutes which pushed the start of the race back a little bit. We headed back over to the Speed Stage for the NASCAR Race Day Live show. I knew that if we got in the crowd we stood a good chance for making it on live tv for at least a few seconds. I was able to last year for a few seconds also
, but this year there is video/pic proof
. I believe Nate enjoyed the race experience and I feel honored to have popped Nate's NASCAR race "cherry"
In the closing laps of the race, the track security don't have too much of a problem of people standing down near the fence (most of the race they want you to keep moving and not stop to watch, which last week at 'Dega proved how dangerous it can be when Edward's car hit the catch fence and several fans recieved minor injuries) where you have the opportunity to be within feet of the cars at near top speed for pics and video.

Nate: WTF!?!?! You did a horrible rendition of Steve Perry!!! Go Caps!
John: Sweet air guitar! I think you missed a few notes but I'll attribute that to concentrating on driving!

I just downloaded it for RB2 yesterday. Haven't played it yet since I was too busy wearing out my drums on GHM yesterday!
