ET Streets or ET Drags?

Post by jeostang on Sat Apr 18, 2009 1:19 pm

Now that I got some light drag wheels, I'm not sure if I should go with MT ET streets or Drags. I will trailer the car to the track so drags would probably better; however if I want to run in the NMRA SST class they are not legal. I will probably only run in 3 NMRA events vs running at local tracks every weekend.

Well, that sounds like you need both. With your power the Drags are the better bet, but like you said, different race classes require different tires. I have street tires, ET Drag Radials, and ET Streets all mounted up. Welcome to tire hell...

Do the ET drag radial have a stiffer side wall when compared to the ET Drags?

I think I'm going to go with the Drags. I probably won't get into the SST class till next year when I have my auto. I can't see me competing in that class with a manual.
