cam selection
ok i know evryone mus be getting tired of my questions but i want the most power i cam possibly get out of my stang i got my block today and now need to figure out the cam setup. i belive the motor out of a 97 mercury and as far as i know my pi heads can still go on the motor but i have figuerd out if the heads that are on it are the svo heads or not but either way not matter which one im useing the heads will be punched out as far as we can take them. ill b running 410 gears, longtube headers, most likely flowmaster super 40s, x-pipe, proffesionl products upper and lower intake, bbk cold air and im gonna have to get atleast 24lb injectors & fuel pump. the block is basicly jus gonna b freshend up cause of my budget. im not really worried if its a rough idol because its not drivin everyday but i do love a lopy sound. im leanin towards the SHM street/strip cams. lemmie know what ya think

Re: cam selection
if you want the most power possible, a custom cam is the only way to go.

Re: cam selection
PI heads and PI cams are used by many. However like Brian said custom will get you the most. Comp cams has a couple nice off the shelf NA cams. MMR has a great NA cam as well.

Re: cam selection
Both great of the shelf cams. However if you dont have a port job, I would stay with the stage2 cams.
