Bama is good... VMP is good...

However your best bet would be to go to JJ at woodbine motorsports and get a custom tune...

No matter how good a canned tune is... you will always get better results for a custom tune for your car.

Im thinking Woodbine may be a long ass trip from Nashville though.

Oh yeah... forgot to look at location....

Look at local 3v tuners first, and see what reputation they have. The 3v's are a WHOLE nother beast.

the VCT, and charge plates are very hard to tune, plus the 05+ MAF sensor can have jumpy readings

Not sure if I can vouch for VMP. I got a tune from them when I just had my JLT RAI on and gears. The 93 tune I got made my car ping real bad and he basically told me to just adjust the timing in the SCT til it went away. I didn't really know much about adjusting the timing with the SCT and didn't want to screw up my car so I just scrapped the tunes since they didn't really help me out much in trying to keep my car from pinging.

Re: performance chip question?

I've dealt with Doug at Bamachips since July of last year. He dyno tuned my Stang and gained me a bunch of mid range power over the "canned' Brenspeed tune and gained me about 5 HP & 5 TQ overall. Doug is very easy to work with and will try to correct any issues you may have with his tunes. Last fall at the track, I had his 93 race tune act up and not let the car upshift under WOT. I went back to the pits and loaded the 93 performance tune and it performed flawlessly. I emailed him that night (Sunday) and by Tuesday he had sent me a new tune file. I uploaded it on my tuner then into the car. Went out and tested it and it worked! I don't know how many others do this, but if you buy the tunes from Doug, for no additional cost, he will rewrite them for you after you buy new performance parts...even if you don't buy them from him For mail order tunes, I'd lean towards Bamachips, but finding a somewhat local tuner to do a custom dyno tune for you will always be the best/safest bet as the tune will be written just for your car, not a generic tune that 5000 other GTs could use.
