*NEW*Mar 22nd(Sunday) Cruise!!
Alrighty, we got the route, time, and meet spot!!
Time is 12pm, most likely role out by 1230 ater everyone gets situated and arrives!
Meet Spot - St James' address is
5757 Solomons Island Rd
Lothian, MD 20711-----there is a Park & Ride Commuter lot across the street from there, that is the meet spot!! it did not have a physical address so we used the closest spot with a physical addy
If you look at the map, you can see the park & ride just to the left of the "2" thats right above the "A" indicating the address for St James'.
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=5757+solomons+island+rd,+lothian,+md&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&oe=UTF-8&um=1&ie=UTF-8&split=0&gl=us&ei=AqW_SdPCL9KytwfG8K1X&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title
Route - - Make right out of Park & Ride, head South on Rt2 to the traffic light
- Left at the light onto Rt 258
- Right onto Rockhold Creek Rd
- Left onto Franklin Gibson Rd (be careful at the intersection)
- Left onto Leitch Rd
- Right onto Town Point Rd
- Keep straight at the Stop sign onto Fairhaven Rd
- Left onto Friendship Rd
- Bear to the left at the fork in the road to stay on Friendship Rd
- Friendship Rd becomes Lake Shore Dr, which becomes Walnut Rd/Ave
This will take us through parts of Deale, Fairhaven, Friendship, Rose Haven, and North Beach Park; some curvy roads, some straight sections, some narrow roads, and some nice scenery.
In continuing to the North Beach/Chesapeake Beach area;
- Continue on Walnut Rd/Ave, which turns into Bay Ave
- Right onto 7th St @ Stop sign
- Left onto Chesapeake Ave @ next Stop sign
- Left onto 1st St
This will take us along the North Beach boardwalk, bay front, beach, and fishing pier; we can park and walk around if you guys want, or just cruise through.
Continuing on,
- Left onto 5th Street
- Left onto Chesapeake Ave at Stop sign
- Keep Straight on Chesapeake Ave, which turns into Bayside Rd once you enter ------Chesapeake Beach
- Keep straight on Bayside Rd (Rt 261) which turns into Plum Point Rd
- Left onto Rt 4 at the traffic light
- Stay straight on Rt 4 for what will feel like an eternity, all the way to Solomon’s Island.
- Once we get past the traffic light at Patuxent Point Pkwy, get into the RH lane if you arent there already
- This will exit Rt 4 and take us to Solomon’s
- Go to the Stop sign and we can either make a left and park under the bridge for pics or make a right and head to the island
We can park and walk around, there is a boardwalk along the Patuxent River; or cruise the island then park or we can just roll out. I know there was a mention of seafood, and I have three restaurants in mind.
Clarke’s Landing across the bridge in St Mary’s County - http://www.clrestaurant.com/
Stoney’s Kingfishers on Solomon’s Island - http://www.stoneyssolomons.com/
Solomon’s Pier, on Solomon’s Island - http://www.solomonspier.com/
You guys can take a look at the menu of each and we can collectively make a decision. I will update the route as needed based upon this decision.
as Brian said, we can discuss food as we go........I'll eat any where that has good seafood so i don't care where we end up!!
list yourself so we have numbers!!

Re: *NEW*Mar 22nd(Sunday) Cruise!!
Im going to put this over here too, we can make a decision.
Alright, here is what I have for a route thus far. I know it looks like a journey, but it shouldnt take us all that long because its not all that great of a distance from beginning to the current end.
If you guys want, we can stop and grab some lunch somewhere since we will be meeting at noon, and then cruise around till close to dinner time and get some seafood. Sunset at Solomon's is usually pretty spectacular, click the link in my sig; i have several photos of it...lol.
We can all decisde where to eat, i provided links to the three main choices. I can attest to how good Clarke's Landing is because Ive eaten there. I have heard good things about the other two quite a bit. All have online menus for your viewing pleasure. Keep in mind, seafood isnt cheap so dont expect McDonald's prices.
