splitter

Post by KingMucha on Tue Mar 03, 2009 11:49 pm

for a while my focus for upgrades has been tight turns and lightness. im not sure if the steeda race wing will do much since you don't really hit high speeds but i was looking at a splitter. since the only splitter i see specifically designed for a mustang is the cobra r bumper which i think is hideous' i was wondering if a universal splitter like this one would do alot of if its a stupid idea. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVERSAL-CARBON-SPLITTER-FORD-MUSTANG-PROBE_W0QQitemZ330306910293QQcmdZViewItem

Measurements: 65" L x18" W

yea i thought that was pretty good. i remember on top gear when they had a slpitter on a bmw for an endurance race but then i fell off and they were s**t. it made a huge difference for then. it's supposed to ELIMINATE understeer. not really but make a big difference

The best course of action would be to actually get your car out on the track now for seat time. Then upgrade a little at at time to see how it improved and what route to take next. I've heard from several road racers that the best upgrade you can do is the driver upgrade Too many times lots of money is spent on big name brand parts and very little improvement is seen on the track from the lack of driving skill.

practice tons prior to even upgrading anything. driver upgrade is always the best mod one can do.
