ford dealers

Post by blownsmoke on Wed Feb 11, 2009 10:47 am

with the warmer weather comin fast i was wonderin if i could get some opinions on dealerships around the rockville area.has anyone had a good/bad encounter with any particular dealership?i need to have some minor stuff taken care of 1'st thing in the spring and the 2 ive contacted didnt sound to excited to talk (service dept).had a problem in chicago with 1 dealer.took the car in for some stripe work and picked the car up with 9 xtra miles on it and a bunch of roasted tire on the rear quarters. to say the least i was pissed.so i wanna avoid that this time.any suggestions?

I believe Sheehy ford has/had a performance shop in Gaithersburg. You could give them a try.

i found them on the roush site and called.the guy i talked to in the service dept was arguing with me about how long the warranty lasted on roush installed products.and i had already talked to roushs' c/s guy.(maybe its me!).mabey i'll seek him out terry next time i call.that is the closest roush dealer to me.but roush said it can be any dealership.have you had any other work done there?at the risk of soundin like an idiot what is tsb?
and big b and bethelism have you guys used that service dept?

Technical Service Bulletin

Its not a recal, however it is information that the technician can use to fix a problem. Most TSB's are covered under warranty. Some however are not.

Blownsmoke- I haven't used the 'service' department, just the performance guy. Ian has used the service department though, and he's had no troubles.

i had my car torn apart their...the TSB was for my clutch/tranny/flywheel...so they tore everything apart put the new parts back in and rebuilt a few thing... They did very nice work and took great care of my car. Terry personal pulled my car in every night that it was outside. I would highly recommend them to anyone..They also have about 10-12 Ford GT's that come in and outta there

Apple Ford...hmmmm, I wouldn't recommend them, they tried to sell me a GT with some water trapped in it, (between the engine bay and the dashboard) that they didn't know how do get out.....and they knew there was a TSB on that car....
