Forum Layout

Post by TT_05_Stang on Fri Sep 05, 2008 8:08 am

Anyone else feel like theheader is way too big and pushes everything down? Also that the chat box is just too large? I guess I like things to be compact and sleek and it just seems to be a pain when I have to scroll down just to hit the unanswered post link. Making the logo left aligned and then the slogan to the right would give some real estate back, and then making the chat box shorter would help as well. There seems to be a lot of unused real estate on the page, and everything else seems to push the page down...

Just my .02, dont take it as gospel Smile

And that picture is from our Aug Meet, I wanted to get some new pictures to play with for the header, and there where no fox's at that meet, you 2 where excused, but none of the other foxes {and there's a bunch of them} toke up your slack, so I used what was there, I don't think its too bad, I would have liked to have had a more divers Mustang cross section, but at least we have 2 GT's a GT 500 and a sixer.
So Bernie, you need to give you fellow Fox's a hard time, for not coming out to play Mad
Next time we get together maybe I'll get some better shots to play with.
Oh and as for Big Blue, It's my camera.

OK, I shrunk the picture and moved it to the left, and I put the chat box back on the bottom, I like it at the top because it never gets used at the bottom cause people forget about it, but I didn't see a way to make it smaller, if you think you can shrink it and put it back at the top, go ahead, but if its still in the way, go ahead and move it back to the bottom, I agree its a pain having to scroll down just to answer a post.

Dose this work?

Ed the problem w/ the chat box is there is never enough ppl on at one time to utilize it. I think it's better at the bottom for that reason. JMO though.

Yeah, and to tell you the truth even in larger forums... I never use the chat anyways... I have every chat medium there is, and I put my ID's on every forum... so if people want to chat do it via trillian Smile

BTW great job on the pages... looks a million times better!!!

No problem, there are a few of us tha use it, but we can leave it on the bottom, I just put it on the top because one of the forums I go on has it at the top, and theirs always folks in it, as for other chat ID's, I don't have any, and this would be the only place I would use it, as for the top of the page, that was a great suggestion, after I changed it I realy liked it, but we'll leave the chat box at the bottom.
