I ordered the C&L intake and SCT III from Bama last night. It set me back a good amount, but I'm hoping it'll be worth it. I'll probably be running the 93 octane torque tune unless I need the Race tune for some reason. I also got the 87 octane for when I'm doing highway driving, hopefully it'll be a good choice. Apparently Bama's been swamped recently so it may be a week or so before I get my stuff, IF they have it in stock.

08 Mustang GT exhaust

I am wanting to change my exhaust. Need some input from you guys. I just bought a new Bassani 46053 X-pipe that allows you to change just the delete tube or High flow cats. But now I am told that I should use long tube headers instead of tuned ones. I dont believe that this x pipe will work. If I go long tube which is the better way to go ceramic or stainless. I also am wondering is there a x pipe that works the same as the 46053 or is this something that I have to keep dropping for emissions. ...

its an 88 f150 with a 5.0 engine... been doing the body work and such, went to crazy rays got a tailgate, and some minor under the hood gear.. replaced the fuelpump and filter WATER killed them both..

now i just cant figure out this hesitation issue.. I think it has to be the cats, cause when she is cold she will run like a bat out of hell, when she reaches operating temp she hesitates and feels like she is choking down... i gotta say i dont like the intake at all but with limited fundage ...

With my 40th birthday quicly approaching I got the wife to agree to let me buy some goodies for mt 07 GT Auto. Here is what I was thinking, I have about $2K to spend. S/C will be too expensive and isn't an option. I like the sound of the stock exhaust so I am keeping it, unless I can find something that isnt much louder and reasonably priced that can add a few HP. Initial thoughts are:

1. CAI - JLT with XCAL 3

2. BBK Underdrive Pulley

3. Ford Racing 4.10 gears

I put longtubes and an offroad h-pipe on a few weeks back, and noticed the powerband had shifted a bit, and also created a flatspot at the 3/4 shift. But I was too eager to take it to the GOOTC event for racing (where I shaved off another tenth) so I didn't get a new dyno tune until yesterday.

Longtubes on normally aspirated S197s usually yield 10hp or so. My tuner (Woodbine Motorsports in Carroll County) is always researching things, and discovered a few more tricks since I've got a stage ...

any way here is my latest mod...a black fuel door i got off American Muscle for $3.39, i had $106 worth of discount codes, lucky me, its a real sturdy piece and it has a magnetic striker plate to keep it closed

I've decided to change my exhaust setup for no other reason than wanting something new and differant. I have an x-pipe made by pypes and a set of axlebacks made by JBA. Both are in great condition. The xpipe is off the car but the axlebacks are still installed. I'm trying to see if there is any interest before I order the new setup. I'd like to get $250 for both pieces. That is $250 TOTAL! I was on the road about 9am to get dog food, and following that getting set to drive to the Bob Bell Show in Glen Burnie, when I passed by the high school a mile from my house.
